SAP Training

We offer a range of training sessions to Sherwood Area Partnership schools free of charge , including : 

  • whole partnership events -details of these sessions are sent to schools and training is delivered either online or face to face in a range of venues. We often ask schools to support this by offering to host a training event.  
  • commissioned training events -we do fund training events for partnership schools to access when a training need is identified. 
  • staff meetings - schools can request staff meeting training sessions by contacting the team.
  • INSET day sessions - schools can request INSET day training sessions by contacting the team 
  • Outdoor Learning Network - we deliver a monthly network for colleagues interested in supporting SEMH needs through outdoor learning. This session also supports any member of staff working towards their Forest School qualification.   • Therapeutic Play Network - we deliver a network each half term for colleagues interested in delivering therapeutic play opportunities in school. Please see calendar for details of dates and times, and contact Alison Hardwick for more details (alison.hardwick@nottscc.gov.uk)
  • Family Support Worker Network - we deliver a network each half term for colleagues who work with parents/carers as family support workers in our partnership schools. Please see calendar for dates and times, and contact Kirsty Booth for more details (kirsty.booth@nottscc.gov.uk) 
  • Mid-day Supervisor Training - we offer a range of training sessions for mid-day supervisors to support understanding of SEMH needs.
